What are NS records?
NS records allow you to specify a different nameserver for a subdomain or the entire domain. Once you use nameservers, the domain name will go to these nameservers and ask for the DNS records there.
When using our managed dns for example, our own NS records are used. It is not possible to set NS records there, because our nameservers are used.
NS records are usually applied in the DNS of the hosting.
On the domain name you use nameservers, which amounts to the same thing.

Tip:
Always make sure the nameservers on the domain name match the NS records in the hosting.
In fact, some domain name extensions do a nameserver check where the nameservers must match the NS records on the hosting exactly.
