What does SMTP mean?
Back to emailSMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the standard protocol for sending e-mail over the Internet.
SMTP is a relatively simple, text-based protocol: it specifies first the sender of the message, then one or more recipients, and then the sending details and content of the message.
The default SMTP port is port 25. However, because most providers have blocked port 25 to limit the number of SPAM messages, we use port 825.
