Can I use my own nameservers on the cluster?
Back to dnsWe offer a name server "alias" as part of our white label reseller hosting.
This alias allows you to use our nameservers under your own domain name.
Note: we only offer this service for our own hosting
To set this up, a few adjustments will need to be made.
- Create the hosting of the desired domain name on the hosting. Please note that if you map the hosting elsewhere this will not work because external servers do not have access to our powerDNS. So we really only offer this service on domains hosted with us.
- Create A records on the hosting of the domain name you want to use.
These A records must match the IP addresses of ns1.thednscompany.com, ns2.thednscompany.com and ns3.thednscompany.com. - In the my.oxxa.com, create a nameserver group using as nameservers the A records you just created.
At these nameservers also fill in the glue records (by clicking on the chain icon) and again use the IP addresses of ns1.thednscompany.com, ns2.thednscompany.com and ns3.thednscompany.com. - Send a mail to support@oxxa.com indicating which nameservers you want to link to our cluster.
- When this is modified, a domain may use the nameserver group created.
The nameservers can be adjusted in the portal.
