How do I create a CSR in cPanel?

Back to web hosting

Introduction
If you request a certificate from an external party a so-called "Certificate Signing request", or CSR, will have to be generated?
If you want to order a certificate from my.oxxa.com for a hosting hosted with us, the process is different, we have written a separate article for this.

Generate CSR
To generate a CSR follow these steps:
  1. Log into the hosting for the domain name in question.
  2. Under "Security," navigate to "SSL/TLS."
  3. On the next screen, click "Generate, view or delete SSL certificate signing requests.".
  4. Enter the requested information here, paying attention to the domains. Here, the domain name will need to match the server for which it is being issued.
  5. Click on "Generate."

In the next screen you will see the CSR, you can copy it and forward it to the external party.
