How do I create a CSR in cPanel?
Back to sslIntroduction
If you request a certificate from an external party a so-called "Certificate Signing request", or CSR, will have to be generated?
If you want to order a certificate from my.oxxa.com for a hosting hosted with us, the process is different, we have written a separate article for this.
To generate a CSR follow these steps:
- Log into the hosting for the domain name in question.
- Under "Security," navigate to "SSL/TLS."
- On the next screen, click "Generate, view or delete SSL certificate signing requests.".
- Enter the requested information here, paying attention to the domains. Here, the domain name will need to match the server for which it is being issued.
- Click on "Generate."
In the next screen you will see the CSR, you can copy it and forward it to the external party.
